Innovation in insurance services

Insurance innovation finds its genesis in changes in the environment and the market. The consequences of this change represent real challenges for the Insurance Company against which they take a reactive and proactive attitude: to detect the evolution of the external context and to anticipate change. The need to innovate to respond to the pushes of change in the external context and to strengthen the relationship of trust between the Insurance Company and its reference stakeholders increasingly requires an anticipation of possible future scenarios. The main innovations are mostly related to the digitalization and organization of information now available in large quantities, to multi-channel and the definition of new organizational models. Therefore, for insurance companies, innovation is linked to the translation of new ideas into new products and/or new processes, aimed at changing the positioning of the insurance company on the market with a view to generating, defending and/or increasing its competitive advantage.
